  "Sorrentino"   is a surname frequently found among the families of craftsmen workìng inlaid marble and semi-precious stones during the XIX century in Naples under the direction of masters Gasparo Dominici, Ghinghi and Giovanni Mugnai. Besides cameos, theìr work also included the making of boxes, small tables, cases, altars and so on. 
Many of these works can be found in the Royal Palaces of Naples, Portici and Caserta.
